The Taite Boomer Memorial Brain Tumor Foundation

Everyday, 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumor and it is estimated that 55,000 Canadians are living with a brain tumor.

Taite was a bright student, a good athlete, a true friend and an amazing son who developed a brain tumor at the young age of 20 and succumbed to it before turning 21.

Taite Boomer was born on November 15, 1991, in Edmonton, Alberta. He led a very active life and was a well-rounded individual. Even with his busy schedule, he found time for his family, friends and girlfriend.

He was first diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma on June 8, 2012. Anaplastic astrocytoma is an advanced form of brain cancer that grows very quickly.  Even through all the struggles,Taite neither complained nor allowed himself to be a portrait of self-pity.

On Sunday September 2, 2012, Taite Boomer passed away. Taite Boomer saved two lives on the day he died. His liver went to one man, while his heart and lungs went to another man.

The Taite Boomer Memorial Foundation invites you to learn about Taite's story and brain cancer. Please visit their site by clicking the link to show your support and help find a cure.
